Drumhead Cabbage
Advertisements were better before!
I’ve decided to start using my Substack for more than just photography. I mean, why not share some of my other obsessions as well? It seems cruel to hoard all these marvelous mundanities to myself!
In this spirit, I thought I’d start sharing some vintage trade cards and postcards that I just stumbled across while organizing my closet. First up: Drumhead Cabbage produced by Richmond & Co. of Buffalo, N.Y. in 1887. This normally would have had the name of a seed merchant printed in the space at the bottom. I especially love that some kid tried out their tracing skills on the back! Great job, kid!
